Genuine Nissan lug nuts are matched to the wheel they hold, with the right thread, seat shape and length for that wheel and hub. This page lists lug nuts, lug studs and lug wrenches, from nuts that fit hundreds of Nissan models to specific ones for the TITAN XD and the GT-R.

Lug Nuts, Studs and Wrenches for Your Nissan

The nut has to match the wheel

A lug nut does more than hold the wheel on. Its seat has to match the shape cut into the wheel, and its length has to suit the stud. That is why the same truck can use different nuts for steel and alloy wheels. The TITAN XD is a clear example: 40224-1LA2B is listed for alloy wheels on the 2016 to 2024 TITAN XD, while 40224-1PA0A is the nut for its steel wheels.

Common numbers

40224-6LW0A is listed on more than 1,300 fitments, going back to the 1995 200SX, which makes it one of the most widely used nuts on this page. Some changes happen mid-model: 40224-JK00A is listed up to December 2015, and 40224-4HH0A takes over from that date, including on the 370Z. If your vehicle was built near that date, the VIN settles it.

Black nuts and special cases

For trucks with alloy wheels, 40224-ZP50B is a black lug nut listed for the 2019 to 2026 Frontier, including PRO-4X and Midnight Edition trucks, and for the TITAN with alloy wheels. It suits the darker wheels those trucks come with. On the GT-R with ceramic composite brakes, 40224-62B0A is the long lug nut, listed from 2015 to 2024.

When to replace lug nuts

Replace a nut that has rounded corners, damaged threads or a rusted seat. Chicago road salt is hard on lug nuts, and a nut that has seized once tends to do it again. Studs with stretched or stripped threads should be replaced at the same time, and a factory lug wrench is worth keeping in the vehicle. After any wheel change, torque the nuts to the specification for your vehicle and check them again after the first few miles.
